AUDITION NOTICE

Wondersee Entertainment is currently hiring dancers (non-union) for a production of The Great Big Boo! A live Halloween show to be presented at Gilroy Gardens in the Fall of 2019. 

Audition process plus info regarding pay scale, schedule and other details can be found below.

HOW TO AUDITION:

This is an online audition process. If you are interested in auditioning to be a dancer in The Great Big Boo! please follow the steps below. Please note that this is a paid contract position.

Step 1: Please press the "apply" button found on this page. Please fill out all of the required information to create a profile. Please feel free to apply first and then add your video later! 

Step 2: Please view and learn the choreography video found below. A link to the music is also provided. Anytime you need to refer to it, please come back to this page!

Step 3: Please post a link to a video of you performing the choreography by 11:59pm PST by SUNDAY, JUNE 30, 2019.  More details on how to post are listed below.

Step 4: Call backs and interviews will take place throughout June/July.

Notes:

*All applicants must be at least 15 years old as of September 1, 2019.

**Due to costuming restrictions, the required height is 5'3" to 5'10"

 

AUDITION VIDEO:

This is an online audition process. The video below is the choreography you are required to learn to audition for a part in The Great Big Boo! as taught by the choreographer for the show, Jocelyn Peden. A link to the music is also included below.

You are welcome to rehearse as often as you like, and to practice with your teachers and your friends. We only ask that you send us your best version of yourself dancing alone! So please feel free to "apply" first and then you can add your video later. That way we know you are interested and you have until end of day June 30, 2019 to send us our video. Please remember to:

• Keep your zoom wide (no heads or legs cut off please!)
• Face your camera! We want to see you, not your back!
• Remember to state your name and height at the start of your video. There are 10 seconds at the beginning of the music to do this.

You must send us a link of your video no later than 11:59pm PST on Sunday, June 30, 2019. We suggest posting on Youtube or Vimeo and please remember to make it "shareable". The place to post your Youtube or Vimeo link can be found on your audition profile page.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is the schedule?

• Rehearsals are currently scheduled to take place on Friday, September 6 (evening) / Saturday, September 7 & Sunday September 8 (days) / September 24, 25, 26 (evenings) (subject to change)
• Performances take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings only. Currently performances are scheduled to start on September 27th and end on November 2nd, 2019 (subject to change)

Will I be paid for this role?

• Yes, if you are cast you will be paid for rehearsals and performances.
• This is a contract position that could pay up to $3000 (subject to rehearsal/performance schedule)

Do I need to submit a resume and headshot in order to audition?

• A resume is NOT required, but please list all your dance experience.
• Headshots are mandatory. Please feel free to take a selfie and attached as a jpeg. Photos should be from your shoulders to the top of your head. Please do not wear sunglasses or hats etc.

Do I need to attend all rehearsals and performances? 

• Yes, if you are cast it is mandatory and required by contract to attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances.
